The day started smooth
with me keeping myself really attach to my revisions.
The plan was set; Bugis.
After I have finish with chemistry,
I made myself ready.
Took my time,
but no matter how much time I took,
I will always end up the last to leave the house
while my mother screams at me.
My father drove us and he head straight to work.
I have not gone to Bugis for a very long time,
and I was just amazed to see the sales and booth.
I got myself, as planned, jeans and watch; perfect!
Just to get the right jeans,
we spent almost two hours plus to get the best fit.
Goodness.
In the end, I had the perfect fit,
my sister had my mothers' and my mother had my sisters'.
Haha...my sister always struggles with clothings.
She just doesn't get the perfect fit.
She is huge; upwards & side to side.
Most people mistaken her as older than me; khehe...
But well, I guess she will end up like a giant,
similar to my late sister.
Any how, that is not the whole point of my entry.
After we were done with our shopping and dinner at
Long John Silver,
we headed to top-up my sister's card.
Next, we had to look for the bus stop that had no. 80.
And the NEXT thing I knew,
I was hearing something that made me dumb.
"EH TEPI LAH! BABI PUNYER MANUSIA!...
APE TENGOK TENGOK?! OI APE KAU TENGOK TENGOK!!!
...EH!...APE TENGOK!...OI! KAU PAKAI TUDUNG,
INGAT KAU PUNYER BAIK KE PER?! EH SIAL LAH FCKUERK!
KAU PAKAI TUDUNG INGATKAN AKU TAKUT KER?!
EH SIALLAH!!!"
I could not believe it.
He was screaming those words to my mother!
And what I could sense-ly do was to tell my mother,
'Don't look. Don't look at him.'
I was pulling her away and away till I stopped.
My mother too was dumb.
But that SENSELESS, SHAMELESS man was still screaming words to us,
while he walked 'away'
"APER KAU TENGOK TENGOK!"
And while the three of us ladies had no idea what to do
because we were in shock,
we just stood there.
But I knew he was still aiming on us.
There were people around us,
But I felt like they looked at us as if my mother
was guilty, or just simply afraid to...confront?
What the hell, was there any gentleman around?
1 vs many!?
And we were ladies.
Three in shock, ladies!
Not that I am blaming anyone
but I was just screaming inside me for 'HHHEEEELLLLLP!!!'.
Unfortunately no body did...until, that SENSELESS, SHAMELESS man
came towards us again.
I did not see that brave gentleman's face.
I did not get to thank him.
But all I could remember hearing from him while the three of us
walked away for safety among the crowd,
"...they didn't do anything to you..."
But I knew that that SENSELESS, SHAMELESS man
was still screaming at us furiously!
How SHAMEFUL is that?!?!
THANK YOU MR!!!
My mother had a lost face.
She knew she didn't do anything.
She knew that she was not aware of that SENSELESS, SHAMELESS man
behind her.
I knew too.
I was beside her.
As for me,
my heart beat was fast!
I was screaming inside.
I was doing my silent istifar...
I was dumb.
If I just had those guts,
I would degrade him in front of all.
Just to add on to how he 'degraded' HIMSELF!
While we were heading home,
I was not over it.
Inside me, I felt shameful.
From what the man said, about the word
"...tudung..."
it really shot me inside.
From his background of malay,
I felt most shameful for his community...
which eventually hits to me too.
And from how he scolded my mother,
it was much more hurting to hear him
drag his senseless words from his 'ass'.
I was telling my mother over and over again,
"What a disgrace to his community...astragfirullah!"
HE told us,
drinking is HARAM!
HE made those rules because there are reasons to it.
That was the reason.
YOU become,
SENSELESS...
YOU become,
SHAMELESS...
YOU DEGRADE YOURSELF
as a TRUE born MUSLIM.
How could you?!
It hurts to see people like those.
People who are senseless to think of who brought them
IN TO THIS WORLD.
The man thought, he was the 'king of street'!
Overall,
I felt ashamed to how senseless he became
thus ending up degrading himself = his community!
What more, with degarding those who wears scarf.
Seorang muslimah yang tidak bersalah.
It effected me bad.
